If your PC is on, turn it off then start it. Next, follow my instructions as closely as you can so you don't cause problems for yourself.

When you're ready do the following:

Double click the icon on your desktop that connects you to the internet. Your ISP or a friend should have explained this to you. If not, you can't follow along in this tutorial until you know how to get connected to the internet properly.

When the initial connection process is complete, you should see a web page on your screen. I don't care what web page it is because the next thing we are going to do is go to the Yahoo web page and then I'll know where you are.

Find the Address bar on the web page you are lookiing at. Remember, it's in the browser frame and looks something like the next snippet.

Click once inside the address slot and it all turns dark. That means you can start typing and all the dark goes away and only what you type goes into the slot.

Type www.yahoo.com into the slot. Type it exactly as shown. All lower case and no spaces.

Then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. In a few seconds, the yahoo page will be displayed.
