Using the Internet - Tutorial Plan

This following topics are intended to teach you by specific example. I'll assume you have signed up with an ISP and there is an icon on your desktop that you double click to get on the internet. We are going to do the following:
  1. Turn on your PC
  2. Double click the icon that connects your PC to the internet
  3. Go to the Yahoo web page address
  4. Browse a few items on the Yahoo web page
  5. Search for information about High Blood Pressure
  6. Review what we find
  7. Search for the same thing with Google
  8. Review what we find
  9. Check for e-mail using MS Outlook Express
  10. Learn the basics about MS Outlook Express
  11. Close Outlook Express
  12. Disconnect from the Internet
You may be surprised, but the list above covers all the basics you need to know to use the internet.

You can use the information you gain from this tutorial, to expand your knowledge and add to it by future explorations on your own.
