If you want Outlook Express to check for new mail and send all messages automaticaly every time you connect to the internet, click
inside the little box as indicated in the above picture.
If you want Outlook Express to check for new mail and send your new messages only when you click the Send/Recv button, make sure the box in the above picture is blank. If the box is not blank, clicking inside it will make it blank. If the box is blank, clicking it will place a check inside it. When you get the box the way you want it, click the Apply option and then click the OK button to close the dialog window. |
There are many other configuration options you can set the way you prefer them. Go ahead and change them. Just keep track of what you change so you can reset them back to how they were before you changed them.
Spelling Checker In order to use the spelling check feature of Outlook Express, you must have either Microsoft Word or Microsoft Works installed on your PC. If you have either one of them, then you can spell check your e-mail messages by simply pressing the F7 key on your keyboard.
