| Google finds different results. However, some links are the same as the yahoo search. I'm pointing this out | because you should try different web pages when you don't get what you are looking for from one web page. |
|
In the snippet above, notice that google found 712,000 links. Amazing!
There are many web pages that allow searches, but I think the best all around pages for searches are: 1. www.google.com 2. www.altavista.com 3. www.msn.com 4. www.yahoo.com To use one of the above addresses, don't try to type it into the address bar of your browser. Always copy the address and then paste it into the address bar of your browser. Typing can cause errors and web page addresses need to be exact or they can't be found on the internet. As a side note, this is also true of e-mail addresses. If someone sends you an e-mail address, copy and paste it into your address book. Don't type it in.

To copy one of the above addresses: 1. Log on to the internet. This brings up your home page. Any web page will do because we are going to put the address into the address bar of the browser, not a particular web page. Remember the browser is the frame for any web page. It is always there no matter what web page is displayed. 2. Place your mouse pointer at the first "W" in www and click once This places the typing cursor in front of the first "W". 3. Then, hold down the shift key on your keyboard and tap the right arrow key on your key board until the complete address is highlighted. 4. Then hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and hit the "C" key once. This puts the address into the clipboard where it is ready to be pasted.
