HOW TO HANDLE PAPER CLIPS (2)

All you need do is make your property selections look exactly like those in the picture. Just click once inside the tiny boxes to check or uncheck the items as you see fit. The important ones that must be checked to see the large paper clip are: Show preview pane and Show preview pane header. When you finish click the Apply button, then the OK button.

You should now see two paper clips as I described.

The next step is to single click the large paperclip and follow instructions regarding what you want to do with the attachment(s).

After you single click the large paper clip you'll see the attached file with its icon and name and another line below it reading "Save Attachments...". Always click once on the file icon. IGNORE THE SECOND OPTION BECAUSE IT IS TOTALLY REDUNDANT WITH THE FIRST.

You will then see a Open Attachment Warning dialog box like the next picture:

This warning is trying to prevent you from opening attachments that might contain viruses. The best rule you can follow to protect yourself from a virus is to only open files that are from someone you know. If you don't know the source, trash the entire e-mail message.
