First let me explain that this material only applies to Microsoft's Outlook Express. If you have AOL, skip this topic.
In Outlook Express, an e-mail message with an attachment is recognized by the message | paperclip icons. An attachment is indicated by a paperclip appearing to the left of the message in the message list and a large paperclip in the preview pane window header as illustrated in the first picture. |

If you don't see the large paperclip in the message preview pane, then you need to make some adjustments to your layout.
To make these adjustments, you do the | following:
Go to the View menu, click once, then go to Layout and click once again. You will then see the following Window Layout Properties box: |
