Deleting Files
To delete a file you simply click once on its icon to select (i.e., highlight) it, then you hit the Delete key on your keyboard. You can also delete a file by first selecting (highlighting) its icon, then clicking the File option at the top left of the window. Then clicking on the Delete option. You can also delete more than one file at once. To delete several files, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard, while you click once on each file you want to delete, then hit the Delete key. Using the Ctrl key in this manner allows you to select several files that are not in sequence. If the files are in sequence, the hold down the Shift key while you select them. then hit the delete key. Saving Files with Save as You might ask, "Why two save options?" Because Save is used when the file has been |
previously saved in a certain place, and already has a name.
However, you want to save it again because of changes you have just made.
Remember, you can and should save files many times while you are creating them to avoid
losing some or all of your work by accidental computer lock-ups or shutdowns or even errors on your part.
