Find the icon on your desktop that looks like "My Computer", pictured to the right. It's usually located in the upper left corner of your desktop. |
Double click the "My Computer" icon. You will see icons representing all your disk drives and other devices connected to the PC. You should see something like the next picture:

The devices you see in this picture are those on my PC. I have an A: drive, C: drive, D: drive and two CD drives E: and F:
On your PC, the picture you’ll see represents the devices on your PC. Anytime you need to see the devices on your PC, you double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Next let's look at the files and folders on the C: drive. Double click the C: drive icon in the "My Computer" display. You'll see the folders and files like the following:

![]() The folders allow the thousands of files on your PC to be stored by subject. Notice the folder icons look just like manila folders. Everything else you see is a file that is not stored in any folder. Now click the "X" in the upper right corner to close the window. -------End of Topic------ |
