Finally, I'll show you how to backup your Table data into a text file which can be stored on a floppy diskette or a separate partition on your hard drive.

Backing up your tables comes in handy for large tables where it is important to backup the table data without including all the other information in the main database file. As a text file, the table information is very small.

However, the reason for storing just the table data, is that it is assumed that the design of a database can always be recreated in an

emergency, but the data cannot be restored unless it is retrievable from a text file or another copy of the entire database.
