Clicking the icon indicated in the above picture, closes design mode, and takes the user to
what is called list mode. List mode is the mode where you actually use the form as opposed to the design mode where you design it.
Access will not ask if you want to save each | design change you make in design mode as you switch between design mode and list mode, while you're finalizing the details. However, when you close the form, report or whatever you're working on, Access will ask if you want to save. Of course you answer yes unless you don't want the changes saved for some reason. |

| To find a name in your AddressDB, you click the arrowhead to drop down the list of names, as indicated in the above picture, then start to type the letters of the name you want to find. As soon as you type the first letter, Access will jump to names starting with the letter you typed. When the name you are looking for appears in the drop down list, stop typing, click | on it and the
record for that person will be displayed. You don’t have
to type the complete name. If, for whatever reason you get an error message, first press the Esc
key on your keyboard and that usually gets rid of it. If not, then try to follow instructions in the error message.
