The record selector bar is used to select records. For example you need to select a record in order to delete it from your address book. So to delete a record, you would click the mouse once on the record selector bar to highlight it, then punch the delete key to delete it.
The bar along the bottom is called the navigation bar. The buttons on this bar move to various records in the database. The button that I’ve indicated as To first record takes you to the first record in the database when you click it once. The next button where I’ve indicated Next forward record takes you one record forward toward the first. This button is not dark because we are looking at the first record and there is no next forward record to go to. |
The slot where I’ve indicated record # shows the number of the record currently showing. Notice it reads 1, our first and only record. The little button where I’ve indicated next, takes you to the next record toward the last. The next button I’ve indicated last takes you to the very last record. The final button where I’ve indicated new takes you to a blank record where you can enter a new address. You need to click on this button each time you enter a new address. Now, you can go ahead and fill your database with a hundred of your best friends.
